Links to your Contact Information and All About Us Information should be on all of your webpages. Your main legal information is your Copyright, Terms of Service, Disclaimer, and Privacy Policy and they should be included as well.
Copyright
Make sure the word copyright and the copyright symbol are at the bottom of your webpages. If you are selling anything, include the words All Rights Reserved. If your product is available worldwide, include that term also.
Terms Of Service
An age statement is strongly advised. In the US, the minimum age is 13 years old, 18 in most other countries. To safeguard yourself, use 18 years old as the required age for your site. Also include the terms for using your site.
Cyberspace has its boundaries. There are rules and regulations that govern advertising. They are called the Dot Com Disclosures. They can be found here: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/dotcom/index.html
Disclaimer
The internet is riddled with viruses, spyware, Trojan horses, and all those other attackers of your computer. Tell visitors to take precautions. Are you giving advice?
Always let your visitors know they should see a relevant professional before using your advice. Also, due to the fast changing nature of the internet, information goes out of date. You cannot be held liable for that, so let your visitors know.
If you sell a product your visitors expect to help them make money, never say the amount they should make. Your legal problems will multiply if you do. You really don’t know.
So many variables go into others being as successful as you. The visitor may not have the internet savvy that you have, or the motivation. You can’t guarantee results. Here is where you state all of that information.
Privacy Policy
Should you capture a visitor’s private information, include your policy for doing so. Tell your visitor what you intend to do with the information. If you intend to share the captured information, you must say so.
I’ll just add this about spamming. This is a small area in the Can Spam Act that receives much abuse. It states, “The Act also prohibits false or misleading subject headings in commercial email messages.”
Don’t send any grand promises of fame and fortune in your email subject line. This is generally done to encourage people to open your email.
Build a great relationship with your list. There’s no need for grandstanding. When the people who know you see your name they will open your email. You can take that to the bank! Find spam info here: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/edcams/spam/rules.htm.
I can’t guarantee that you will not have legal problems during your internet journey. But if you include these items in your website, you would have done much to reduce your risk.

No matter what you write to your clients or customers, the benefits have to be up front. That’s the rule we all know it. Now how do we stick to it?
Make a benefits list. Just write down what you know your readers want to get out of life or in their profession. List what they need to make easier.
Making this list helps you:
- write benefit-laden headlines and articles
- choose article subjects that interest your readers
- increase sales (After all, readers respond when you focus only on them.)
By creating this list and posting wherever you write, you’ll have a quick point of reference whenever you need to come up with an article quickly.
Here’s an example of a list I made for accounts payable clerks:
- keep independent contractors separate from employees
- reduce paper
- keeping up with sales tax issues
- stay out of legal trouble
- checking expense reports against receipts
These are all things they’d want. Now you can use this to create headlines. Try to put the benefits in the headline first. Here are a few examples:
An Easier Way to Determine Worker Status
Small Steps to Going Paperless
Heads up: A/P Could Pay for DOR’s Sales Tax Losses
Here’s Poof Spot Checking Expense Reports Pays Off
It’s best not to pull this list out of thin air. As much as you think you’re close to your audience, and you know exactly what they’re thinking, they can often surprise you with new interests. Here’s how to stay current:
1. Start calling or e-mailing a select group of customers. You’ll want to choose people who you speak with on a regular basis and who are opinionated. They are not hard to find. These wonderful gems are on every businessperson’s client list.
2. Ask them these questions:
- What keeps you up at night?
- What’s the toughest thing about your job?
- What’s the one thing you would change about your job?
- Could you please describe your day from the time you sit at your desk in the morning until you leave at night?
3. Draw out their emotions. Once you have this info, look for any emotions the respondent has. Are they angry about new regulations? Tired of having to match invoices? Eager to remove paper from the accounting process? Loving a new kind of computer software? Use these emotions to write your lead paragraphs and headlines. They’re the undercurrent that will keep your readers glued to just about everything that flows from your computer and into their inbox.
What You Can Do Now: Think of who you can ask today, so that you can start building your benefits list. It’s the secret to the success of your e-mail marketing campaign.

Health is invaluable for every human being and therefore any bodily disorder or disease calls for immediate medical attention. Seeking medical advice from a good physician definitely helps in faster recovery but other factors such as the cost of treatment and the availability of medicines also plays a significant role. Over the years, the availability and affordability of medicines had been a major cause of concern among the patients. The community drugstore located just a few steps away from a patient’s residence often does not have the prescribed brand of medicine. Checking the availability of the same medicine at other drugstores becomes an even more tiresome experience for the patient. Furthermore, the rising costs of drugs add to the patient’s dismay. The patient might eventually recover, but the overall experience might not be satisfying enough.

In the past years, the Canadian online pharmacies have become an instant favorite among the patients. The primary reason behind such success is its ability to combine prompt service along with cost effectiveness. The arrival of Internet pharmacies has exposed the many weaknesses of the age-old traditional pharmacies. Buying a medicine is no more an exchange of cash and drugs across the counter. Online pharmacies have added a new dimension to it. Unlike the traditional drugstores, online pharmacies give greater importance in building good relationship with the patients.

Getting a drug from an online pharmacy is easy, secure and fast. The patients need to fill out the online order form with the required drug info and submit it for processing. Once the order is sent, the team at the respective pharmacy does the needful for a safe and quick delivery of the ordered medicines. Unlike traditional drugstores, the online pharmacies accept orders 24 hours a day. The online process of ordering is more time saving and convenient as it does not require the patient to go out of their house and look for the drugs in multiple drugstores. Many patients who do not want their medical identities to be made public find Internet pharmacies a much better alternative as compared to the traditional drugstores. Internet pharmacies maintain full security and confidentiality of all the information pertaining to a specific patient.

The affordability of drugs has always been a major concern among patients. The Canadian online pharmacies have worked their way out in providing quality medicines at affordable price. The medicines available at online Canadian pharmacies are relatively cheaper than those available in the US. The price regulation of drugs imposed by the Canadian government and the lower value of the Canadian dollar has brought down the cost of prescription drugs significantly. Apart from that, some Canadian pharmacies offer attractive discounts that further make them a cost effective alternative as compared to the traditional drugstores.Canada drug pharmacy, over the years, has become a major draw among the patients. Good quality of medicines, low prices, superior service standards, prompt delivery and security has made them an appealing alternative over the traditional pharmacies.

Situated in the pelvis, one on each side of the uterus, the ovaries belong to the female reproductive system. Having the aspect of an almond, the ovaries are responsible with the production of female hormones and eggs.

The female experiences every month during the menstrual cycle a process called ovulation. In this process, the egg is traveling from the ovary to the uterus, through the fallopian tube. It is also known that the ovaries produce progesterone and estrogen. These are hormones that have a role in regulating the menstrual cycle and pregnancy and also influence woman’s development of breasts, body hair and body shape.

On the ovary can appear a lot of types of cysts. During the menstrual cycle, there can appear cysts, that are called functional cysts. Woman’s ovaries grow each month little cysts, that have the role of holding the eggs, and when the egg is mature, it will be released from the fluid-filled sac that forms the cyst. Then, the egg travels for fertilization through the fallopian tube and the sac dissolves.

A follicular cyst is a type of a functional cyst, and it appears when the sac continues to grow and doesn’t break open to release the egg. Frequently, this cyst goes away in one up to three months.

If, after revealing the egg the cyst doesn’t dissolve and seals off, fluid will build up inside of it. That is called a corpus luteum cyst, and usually disappears after a few weeks without any treatment. It is possible that this cyst will cause pain and will bleed, and it can grow up to four inches. There are some known drugs such as Clomid or Serophene that can raise the risk of developing this type of cysts.

Other types of cysts are endometriomas, which appear when tissue from the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus. These cysts can be painful during menstruation or sex, and they look like a form of growth, attached to the ovary.

Cystadenomas are cysts that develop from the cells situated on the outer surface of the ovary. They can cause pain, become large, and are often filled with a sticky gel or a watery fluid.

Dermoid cysts can form from the cells situated in the ovary that are able to make teeth, hair and other growing tissues, are large and painful.

Cysts can form also where there are polycystic ovaries .There, the sac doesn’t break open to release the egg, follicles are growing continuously inside the ovary when the cycle repeats, determining the apparition of cysts.

Very often, women do not know they have a cyst, because they have no symptoms, but sometimes, a cyst may cause weight gain, abnormal bleeding and painful menstrual periods, pain or pressure in the abdomen or during sex, breast tenderness or vomitation.

Other symptoms are also sudden severe abdominal pain, faintness, dizziness or rapid breathing. It is very important to go to the doctor as soon as you discover any of these symptoms.

Because there are not always symptoms, cysts are discovered by chance, usually during a routine pelvic exam. The doctor will perform an ultrasound control, and so, he will find information about the shape, size and composition of the cyst. The doctor might want to check the hormones level as well, or to take more tests.

By taking a blood test, the doctor will measure the substance called CA-125, because high level of that protein may indicate ovarian cancer. The CA-125 test is usually recommended for women aged over 35, who have a cyst partially solid. It is also known that non-cancerous diseases, such as uterine fibroids and endometriosis can cause an increased level of CA-125 protein.

If there is found a cyst, there are a few steps that must be made. Sometimes, you don’t need to do anything than wait and get more examinations, because it is possible the cyst to disappear. This happens especially at young women, who have no symptoms, and have a fluid filled-cyst.

If the cyst doesn’t go away in a few months, causes pain, got larger or looks unusual at ultrasonic examinations, the doctor may need to take it off.

A surgery procedure is laparoscopy. This is suitable for small and benign cysts. The doctor is making a small incision above or below the navel, and a small instrument, like a telescope and which has some tiny tools is inserted into the abdomen, and the cyst can be taken off.

Laparotomy is used when the cyst is larger and suspicious. The doctor is making bigger incisions in the stomach, so he will be able to remove the cyst. If the analyses will show that the cyst is cancerous, the doctor might need to remove the ovaries and other affected tissues too.

Birth control pills are a solution that the doctor may prescribe if a woman frequently develops cysts, to prevent her ovulating and developing new ones.

It is very important for women to take periodically medical exams, because often cysts produce no symptoms, and are found only by chance.

Mumbai, India’s financial capital is one of the most expensive places in the world to buy a condominium unit, according to a Global Property Guide (www.globalpropertyguide.com) survey.

Apartments in South Mumbai cost around US$9,000 to US$10,200 per square metre. “Such stellar prices can only be found in the world’s leading cities,” says Yasmin Rahman, yields and valuation analyst at the Global Property Guide.

Property prices in other cities in India are significantly cheaper than in Mumbai. In New Delhi, the administrative capital, used apartments cost around US$2,000 to US$3,000 per sq. m. In Bangalore, India’s Silicon Valley, prices are around US$950 to US$2,000 per sq. m.

These prices are exceptionally high for a country with a GDP per person of only US$770 in 2006. Even for highly paid call centre agents with annual income of around US$3,000 to US$4,500, these condominiums are still unaffordable. Remarkable growth

Residential property prices in India have been rising remarkably during the past years, boosted by the IT industry’s expansion and by rapid economic growth. IT and IT enabled services (ITES) firms have gobbled up new property offerings in several cities. There has also been a continuing move toward suburban business districts (SBD) in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai.

Indian cities are have struggled to accommodate the influx of people from rural areas. Public infrastructure such as roads, bridges and trains are filled to the brim. Congestion and traffic jams are part of business-as-usual environment.

Demand for quality accommodation of expatriates and “mass affluent” individuals outstrips supply. The government is encouraging the development of new residential complexes with world class amenities and facilities.Low yields because of rent control

India’s rental market is still hindered by socialist laws protecting tenants. Although these laws are slowly being replaced by more market oriented laws, the rental market’s full potential has yet to be realized.

Those Indian cities which have rent control laws have lower yields. Rents in Mumbai are frozen at their 1947 level, due to the Maharashtra Rent Act of 1999. This law, which extended the Bombay Rent Control Act of 1947, is slightly more pro landlord than the earlier law, but it does not still sufficiently protect landlords’ rights.

Ironically, these rent control laws help create a housing shortage which pushes up prices. Monthly rents in Mumbai are expensive at US$8,000 to US$10,000. Nonetheless, yields are low, at 3 to 4.7%.

In Delhi, the maximum annual rent is capped at 10% of the cost of construction and the market price of the land. However, the cost of construction and the price of land are both based on historical values and not the current market valuation. So the older your property, the smaller the rent you can charge.

Newer and smaller units in New Delhi fetch on average up to 8.4% rental yields yearly. But generally, yields are low to moderate in Delhi, at 4% to 5.8%.

Bangalore’s more laxly-regulated rental market has higher annual yields at 7% to 10%.Urban housing problems

In a separate study, the Global Property Guide finds that high transactions costs and restrictive rental markets are conducive to the creation of urban slums. Roundtrip transaction costs for property purchases in India are moderate to high, ranging from 7.5% to 17% of property value, depending upon the city.

Registering property transactions in India is slow and cumbersome as many properties lack clear titles. Property valuation is not standardized. Such problems encourage the under-provision of housing and the growth of slums.

In 2001 about 55.5% of India’s urban population lived in slum areas. The number of slum dwellers in India exceeds 158 million, more than the population of the UK and Germany combined. Dharavi, Asia’s largest urban slum area with more than a million people, is located right next to Mumbai’s prime business districts, the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

As the Indian economy continues to rapidly expand, its cities will continue to attract investors, expatriates and migrants. The development of India’s real estate and rentals industry would greatly benefit from further liberalization of property ownership laws.Economics Team:

2 way car are alarms bringing automobile protection systems into the future. A car alarm is now so much more than just a loud ringing noise when the vehicle is invaded. A 2 way car alarm is now able notify you remotely via pager when the alarm is activated. They also provid the ability to start and control the car from a distance. These special alarms can do nearly everything short of driving the car for you!
The technology, often utilizing FM radio waves, is not endorsed by some law enforcement officials because of the fact that real-time notification of theft activity might turn some car owners into vigilantes. It is seen as a trade-off in citizen safety to have the ability to try to intervene in a theft in progress. However, the remote action options available with 2 way car alarms, including door locks and trunk release, have allowed some car owners to derail a theft from as much as 2,500 feet away.
Many 2 way alarm manufacturers build GPS systems into their alarm units, which is a valuable tool in recovery of stolen vehicles. The ability to track and pinpoint the location of a stolen vehicle has helped reunite many owners with their cars. However, the satellite technology used by these 2 way car alarms is far from foolproof since the signals only work when line-of-sight is possible. They can can be obstructed by solid objects including below ground parking facilities. Still, it’s a great advance in fighting auto theft.
Beyond these security measures, some modern 2 way car alarm models offer very attractive comfort features to their owners. Imagine being able to keep your vehicle locked while remote starting the car and engaging the climate control. The days of waiting in the heat or cold until the car’s temperature regulates can be a thing of the past with these fantastically user-friendly options! For more info see http://www.bestcaralarmreviews.com/Car_Alarm_Systems/ on Car Alarm Systems
Despite the incredible advances of these 2 way car alarms, it must be stated that they cannot upgrade a vehicle beyond its original capabilities. For example, when installed in a car that does not have automatic door locks or trunk releases, these features will not work regardless of the alarm system. Additionally, most 2 way car alarms are designed to work strictly with automatic transmission vehicles. A standard transmission cannot be started remotely as the transmission must be manually disengaged to be able to start. So, be sure that your vehicle is equipped to take on the many advantages of a 2 way car alarm system, and then enjoy this space-age gadget!

Advantages of Truck Leasing Vs Purchasing

Truck leasing to get that truck equipment you need today instead of purchasing, can be a cost-effective option, particularly if you don’t have ready cash on hand. The same acquisition rationale applies to all heavy equipment. Along with being able to regulate your cash flow more effectively, truck leasing offers these additional advantages:

Asset Management ** A truck equipment lease provides the use of equipment for specific periods of time at fixed payments. Depending on how the truck lease is structured, the lessor assumes and manages the risk of equipment ownership. At the end of the truck lease, the lessor is responsible for the disposition of the asset.

Balance Sheet Management ** Because an operating truck lease is not considered a long-term debt or liability, it does not appear as debt on your financial statements, thus making you more attractive to traditional lenders.

Current Technology ** If the nature of your industry demands that you have the latest truck technology a short-term operating truck lease can help you get the needed equipment and keep your cash out-lay to a minimum. Your risk of getting stuck with obsolete equipment is lower because you can upgrade or add equipment to meet your ever-changing needs.

Customized Payment Solutions ** A variety of truck leasing products are available, allowing you to tailor a program to fit your month-to-month or year-to-year cash flow needs. Some lessors offer stepped- payment programs, with the payments being smaller at the beginning of the lease to allow the lessee’s cashflow to build. The payments then ramp up latter in the payment schedule when the new truck(s) have increased the business revenue. Other lessors offer seasonal deferred payment programs for businesses that experience cashflow challenges during the year. Always ask for these options. Independent lessors want your business. If it makes sense financially, they will often accommodate your needs.

Flexible End Of Term Options ** There are several options for disposing of equipment after the lease term ends including returning the equipment, renewing the lease or purchasing the equipment.

Flexibility ** As your business grows and your needs change, you can add or upgrade at any point during the lease term through add-on or master leases. Lessors want you as a long term customer and are often creative in how they structure a truck lease for you. Captive or in-house truck leasing programs may not be as flexible. So, you can often find more flexible truck leasing arrangements with Independent Truck Leasing Companies.

Immediate Write-Off ** Truck Lease payments can be treated as expenses (depending on how the lease is structured) on a company’s balance sheet, therefore, truck equipment does not have to be depreciated over five to seven years. (Consult with your tax professional prior to making major asset acquisition decisions)

Improved Cash Forecasting ** By leasing need truck equipment you know the amount and number of lease payments over the life of the leasing period, so you can accurately forecast cash requirements for your equipment.

Tax Benefits ** The IRS does not consider a truck operating lease to be a purchase, but rather a tax-deductible overhead expense. Therefore, you can deduct the equipment lease payments from your corporate income. (Consult with your tax professional prior to making major asset acquisition decisions).

Two years ago, an online forum community was created with a unique opportunity. Simply put, it pays its members to post and share its ideas with the entire community. Its name; MyLot.com.

Two years and over 125,000 members later, MyLot is still going strong, despite them getting mixed reviews about its earning potential. Many members within the site ask frequently how they can earn substantially and consistently. Both on and off-site some people have resolved that it’s too difficult to earn from MyLot. I’ve even heard from a small few that MyLot is a scam, a pipe dream that you will never reach the end of.

I have been a member of MyLot for over fourteen months. I have already received payout once before. I am currently awaiting a second payout to come in the next few days, and am only a stone’s throw away from next month’s payout as well. I am living proof that you can earn each and every month from this site!!!

In my time on MyLot, I have devised a simple strategy that anyone can follow; not easy, mind you, but simple. Follow it and you, too, will be able to reach payout month after month.Getting Started

Since I am showing everyone how to maximize their earnings and experience in MyLot, from A-Z, the best place to start would be the beginning; registration.

To sign up for MyLot, you will need a valid e-mail address, and either a PayPal or Moneybookers account to receive payments from the site. I would like to note that MyLot accepts members from across the globe, but, due to regulations set forth by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), there are a small number of countries that they are not allowed to pay members in. These are usually countries that are not services by one of these payment processors. If you happen to live in one of these countries, you will still be allowed to join and participate; you just won’t be paid for it.

Once you click the referral link, you will come to the front page of MyLot. On the left-hand side, just below the log-in fields, you will start your registration with one of the most important aspects of your MyLot persona, your screen name.

Choose something clever that represents your personality. This will be one of the attributes that other MyLot members will come to recognize you by. You want to have a screen name that will stick in people’s mind when they read it.

Next, you will fill in the rest of your personal information, including your e-mail address. It’s very important that you use an e-mail address you will check on a regular basis. There are a lot of things that you will need in the beginning of your membership, and having e-mail notifications makes a lot of it easier. As we go through this article, you will see why using an e-mail that you check often is so important; but for now, just know that with this site and my method, a readily-accessible e-mail is key.

The next screen you will come to will be about inviting friends to MyLot. You will see a screen where you will be able to add your friends’ e-mail addresses, and send them a short e-mail describing MyLot and asking them to join. Although it isn’t necessary to have referrals under you, it is nice because you earn 50% of their earnings for referring them, and who better than your friends to tell how they can share ideas and get paid? If you know some people to add, go ahead and put their addresses in. If you can’t think of anyone at the time, you can skip this and come back to it later. Just click the link “Invite new friends” at the bottom left-hand portion of every screen in MyLot. You will be taken right back to this page.

Now comes the most important, and the longest part of registration, the selection of interests. As tedious as this becomes, it’s very important that you pay close attention to which ones you add to your profile. These are the categories where members place their discussions, and where newbies will come to to respond to discussions before they add friends to their profile. When you go through each page, be sure to add each and every interest that fall in line with what you like, even if it’s the second or third time seeing it. The reason is that even though the names of the interests are similar, people start different discussions in each. Since you want a big a pool of discussions to choose from as possible, it would be beneficial to add each interest you like, no matter how many times they are listed.

Whew!!! Now that we got that out of the way, we have a couple more things to do before you get started. You will come to the front page again once you are finished. When there, go to the link on the left-hand side under your screen name and temporary avatar that says “Edit Your Preferences.” Once you are there, you will be on a screen that says, “Customize your profile.” Here, you will choose the next important tidbit of your persona, your avatar. As with the screen name, a well-chosen avatar separates you from the faceless members who haven chosen one, and shows your dedication to the site. Your screen name and avatar are your calling card on MyLot. Once you have been here for a while, members will come to know it as they would know the familiar face of a personal friend. So just like your screen name, choose an avatar that fits your personality, and upload it to this page.

You also have the opportunity to write a slogan and input a link; both will be shown on your profile page, above and below your avatar respectfully. We will talk more in depth about your profile page shortly, but know that most people who are adding you as a friend, or responding to a friend request you sent will be looking at this page, so you can promote just about anything here.

The next page, Account info, is pretty simple. You’ve already added most of the information during registration. But at the bottom of this page is one point of interest. There is a checkbox that asks if you want to allow mature content, if you are over the age of 18. What this means is, if this box is checked, you will be allowed to see discussions that have the tag, mature content, attached to them. If not, these will be blocked from your view. This one is totally up to your discretion whether to check or not.

The next tab, and the one that most of you have been waiting for, is the payment information tab (yay!) This is where you input your payment information for when you reach at least $10 in a month, so they can send your payout. Make sure that all your information here is correct, or they will not be able to send your payment.

The final tab is Email notifications. This is the first reason why using an e-mail that you check frequently is important. I do need to tell you now that you should make a folder in your e-mail separate for MyLot, and direct all your MyLot correspondence to go there. After being with this site for a while, the e-mail load can get a little heavy, and it makes things a lot easier having them all go to one folder, instead of having to search through your inbox for each and every e-mail.

I suggest checking all the notification boxes available. You will need every chance you get to respond to discussions, and this way you will have a broad array of them to choose from in the beginning. Also, you will know what is going on with your account simply by looking into your e-mail, rather than having to search through MyLot blindly.

Finally, the last part of the registration process, your Profile page. Go back to the left-hand side of the screen, and click the “Customize Profile” link. You will be taken to your profile page in edit mode. This is the last important aspect of your MyLot persona. Your profile should continue where your screen name and avatar leave off. It should give a small glimpse into your personality, and your interests. Here, you can upload pictures of yourself, family, and friends. You can also post banners and links from other opportunities you may be involved in. You can move the modules around to suit your tastes. The profile here is very versatile; you can do pretty much anything with it. The main thing to remember when editing is to make sure it represents you in the way you want to be perceived on MyLot. Again, this is the first thing that most people will go to concerning friend requests, and is a big deciding factor.

Last thing before we get started, go back to your inbox, and look for the e-mail from MyLot. It should contain a link that will validate your account with MyLot. This is necessary, because you won’t be allowed to post anything until this is done.Posting

Now that we got all the technical stuff out of the way, its time to get to the meat and potatoes of this site; discussions. This is the main thing we get paid for on MyLot, posting thought-provoking discussions and giving meaningful and informational responses. Since this article is written with the newbie in mind, we will start from the ground up, starting with responding to discussions.

Log in to MyLot. Once you are logged in, on that good ol’ left-hand side you will see a list of your interests, beginning with the interest most recently posted to. Start clicking on the interest, and looking through the discussions posted there. Pay close attention to the discussions with the most responses, these are the members who you will want to model your posting style after when you start posting your own discussions.

Once you find a discussion that really interests you, click on it, and read the responses, if any. This is not only for you to see how to post, but also it will keep you from duplicating a response, which MyLot frowns upon. Don’t worry about that too much, if you are posting from your mind, your posts won’t match another’s exactly. It’s just when there are responses that are exactly the same, known as plagiarism; MyLot will delete that response, or the entire discussion, which means lost earnings.

Once you have gotten the idea of what the poster is asking, click the box that says “Respond to Discussion”, which will be under the body of the post. Please make sure that you are clicking here, and not the “Add comment” box of one of the respondents. You want to make your own response, not comment to another’s. First if you do comment, it doesn’t earn as much as if you post a response to the discussion. Secondly, if your post is well written, you will get a best response from the discussion starter. This cannot happen if you accidentally post in another’s response, because the link won’t be there for them to use.

Once you click the box, you will come to a field where you can write a response to the discussion. When doing this you want to make sure that you write at least four lines of response to the discussion. MyLot wants to keep its earning algorithm a secret, but one thing we do know is that if you post at least four lines of text to a discussion, you will earn at least a penny for your trouble. Don’t let this limit you either. If you feel that you can write more than four lines of text, by all means do so. The more content you provide, the more you earn, but you should have at least four lines of text so you will get at least something for your trouble.

Also, MyLot likes having posts that are spelling and grammatically correct. I know that most of us don’t have the best grammar, but doing your best will really help your earnings, so start working on it if you have trouble. Trust me; MyLot will give you plenty of practice.

After you are finished with your post and have submitted it, you will come to a screen that will ask you for tags for the discussion. This is important to do, because it links this discussion to others with similar tags. Try to come up with a few, but know that MyLot only accepts ten per response.

Since you have turned your e-mail notifications on, you will be notified if the poster, or someone else, has commented on your response. It’s best to go back and re-comment on those. Not only does it earn you a little extra money, but it shows that you are a responsive member that likes to hold conversations. Remember, there is no such thing as a one-sided discussion.

After you have responded to a few discussions in your interests, you should have a feel what MyLot is looking for, and should be comfortable enough to start a discussion of your own. To start, pick an interest that you either know very much about, or something that you are curious about. Same as responding, make sure that you post at least four lines. Also, ask a question for your respondents to answer for you. This gets people involved and will make them want to respond. Just like when you post a response, when you post you will get the tags screen. Choose these words carefully, as it will group your discussion with ones of similar tags, gaining you more exposure.

Here’s a trick of the trade that usually comes with experience. Since you will be getting notified each time someone responds to your discussion, go back and comment on every response that you feel brought some value to your discussion. If they respond with another comment, you respond again; back and forth until one of you runs out of things to say. This does a few things for you. First, you get paid a little for each comment made in your discussion. Second, each time you comment, your discussion goes back to the top of the list in that interest, giving you more exposure to members that haven’t seen or responded to your discussion yet. Finally, this further lets members know that you are very responsive and conversational. These people get very far in MyLot!!!Adding Friends

Even though responding to discussions can be fun, it can be a little tedious having to search the site looking for ones to respond to. This is where adding friends come in. Once you have a group of friends, with the e-mail notifications turned on, you will have a steady stream of discussions in your e-mail that you can go to. The more your friends list grows, the less you will need to search the site for discussions to respond to, until finally you will be doing all your responding from your e-mail box.

Now, before you go sending thousands of friend requests all willy-nilly, let me tell you that there is a method for getting the best, most responsive friends that will be more likely to accept your request, and be the most help to you in earning from this site.

We’ll have to backtrack a little for this. Go back to the first few discussions that you responded to, and click on the screen name of the person that started it. Check out their profile. Are they very active? Do they usually post four or more lines to respond? Do you share more than one interest? If the answer is yes to all of these, this is a person that you would want to add to your friends list. Click the button under their avatar that says “Add As Friend”.

For people that have responded to your discussions, you basically do the same thing. You should check out every person that responded to your discussions and see if they would be a match for you by checking the same criteria.

You should also do this for people that send you friend requests. You don’t want to add just anybody. If you see that someone has sent you a friend request, you go to their profile and see that all their discussions are either meaningless questions like “Do you like apples?” or they post a lot about their opportunities and not much else, you don’t want to add this person as a friend. They probably will not respond to your discussions much, and may fill your Private Message box with all types of program links that you will never use.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s okay to post discussions about your opportunities, but they should really be discussions, and not blatant attempts at getting sign ups. When you post about an opportunity, you should explain the opportunity as fully as possible, without giving the name of the opportunity. You should ask questions about it for people to respond to. Also, try not to post the actual referral URL in the discussion, or any comments you make. This will get your discussion deleted. Just put a note at the end saying if you are interested, add me as a friend (if you haven’t already), and send me a Private message. I will respond with the ref URL.

You also don’t want to post ref urls in other’s discussions, even if they are asking for them. This will get their discussion deleted as well, meaning not only a lost sign up, but lost earnings as well. Again, you want to add them as a friend, and should they accept, send the ref URL in a pm.Routine

The best way to make your earnings consistent in MyLot is to set yourself to a routine that you will follow every day for activity. Building up to payout takes time the first time around, but if you start off in the right way, earning becomes easier and easier until you are making payout each and every month.

I am on MyLot almost every day, no set amount of time, just long enough to respond to the discussions I get in my e-mail that I am interested in. This may take me from 2-3 hours. I know everyone doesn’t have time like I do, but one hour a day to start should be sufficient time to get your earnings up. Take the time to respond to discussions of interest first, and then move on to starting discussions if you have any.

Well there you have it. This is the same system I have devised through fourteen months of trial and error that has gotten me to the point where I can earn payout every month. I’ve taken the sting out of the learning curve for you, so I hope to see many of you in the months to come with your own payout. Happy posting!!!

It’s a fact:

Being a tea company, we are also an environmental company. After all, our very business is 100% reliant on the ability for this earth to deliver, season after season, bountiful crops of camellia sinensis (tea!). Fertile soil, clean rain, cool, damp fog, and warm sun must all contribute for us to have tea here in San Francisco. It’s easy to take our tea for granted. It seems like we just write our suppliers a check, and a week later UPS delivers, magically! But in reality there are so many fine details that must all conspire for the tea to sprout in a 1300 year old tree in the jungles of Southwestern China, to then show up in a cup in urban San Francisco. Now the fact that all the components, from where and how it is grown, to the people who pick, dry, toast, pack and ship it, to the transport companies that deliver reliably to us week after week….everything just fits together, and we have our tea. That is magic.

There is always, always, always room for improvement. But we are trying our best, and have had many accomplishments along the way. We’d love to hear from you if you have suggestions on areas for improvement. Below are some ares we have successfully implemented our philosophy as a business–for our customers, employees, and business partners.

1. Build-out:

For our new Yerba Buena Gardens location in downtown SF, we wanted to create a space founded sustainable, renewable products, and that fit our aesthetic and design style. Bamboo was the perfect material as it grows at a rate of 6+ inches a day throughout Asia. It is our main material for tables, counters, etc. For our “wall of tea,” we chose aged, recycled wood that not only creates a feeling of age, but is old! We really like the space as a whole because it is naturally temperature regulating, plenty of windows providing cross-draft for when it’s hot out, and ample solar heating for when it’s cold and windy.

2. Product Offering:

All of our products (food, tea, teaware, and retail products) have been chosen based on environmental and economic sustainability, support and supply from local businesses, and organic and fair trade connections. Please read this blog for more info on our philosophy. Our specialty teaware, is an exclusive made by our friend and neighbor Drew Dewitt. The chai cups and tea cups were designed especially for organic tea. They keep your brew hot, and your hands cool, and are really, really sexy. Elegant and natural they look great in our store, but also at home. They will be for sale this holiday season, so stay tuned.

3. Recycling:

We opened our original location at 498 Sanchez st. in the Mission-Castro neighborhood, nearly 4 years ago–and when we opened we had a weekly trash pickup of 6 waste bins. We are now down to 2 waste bins, and 2 compost bins, and 2 recycling bins. Our goal is to be 100% NO waste, and we’re working on educating all of our staff to make this a reality. In terms of disposable utensils, when we opened our doors in 2002, we thought all our paper products were environmental. Recently we found out that the majority of paper cups and containers have a waterproof barrier inside them that is actually a petroleum laminate that will be around for hundreds of years! We’ve now gone to changing over to truly paper products and utensils made from rapidly-composting materials like sugar cane fiber, corn, and unbleached recycled paper.

4. Local, really, really local goods:

We make a point of partnering with local bakers, artists, and farmers to supply our customers with products that have a minimal environmental impact on getting from Farmer to You. We are even working on gardening our own herbs right in downtown SF–in the Yerba Buena Gardens. Also, we’ll soon be supplying the gardens with our used tea leaves, for them to incorporate as fertilizer in their organic garden.

5. Tea Dinners:

We host events that educate and entertain our customers about our products, business, and the environment. Please see the press release for our October 18th Fair Trade Tea dinner Gala & Panel discussion. (http://www.samovartea.com/html/lounge/newsroom.cfm)

6. We care about our employees:

Our employees are the front line to our customers, so if they are happy, so our the customers. We offer health insurance, and, preventative care with local businesses. To stay healthy, our employees get free yoga classes around the city with teachers that join our tea ambassador network, and, they also get treated by our neighboring acupuncture clinic. Soon we’ll even be offering employee stock so that everyone who works at Samovar is an owner.

Many of you notice how our employees come and go and come and go for months at a time. We recognize that everybody has unique needs and we want to provide a place that caters to these needs. Whether it’s for school, travel, another job, or fun, most of our employees have taken sabbaticals for up to 3 months–ranging from peace efforts in the Middle East, to farming rice in Minnesota, to tea-touring in Asia. Opportunity is limitless for our employees. Just ask Erick, who joined us nearly four years ago as a dishwasher at Sanchez St. He’s the manager today running the show for the whole location!

7. Community involvement:

We do our business in the community so why not get involved? We supply many local businesses with our tea, some donated and some not. If you know of a non-profit that needs fair trade tea, just let us know and we’re happy to help out. Theatre, education, environmental groups, artists… We enjoy connecting and supporting all of these organizations because tea is about community and health, and for us to succeed as a business, we must embrace our community, connect, and work together.

PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome known as PCOS has some very important ramifications for women who are trying to become pregnant. If you are one of the estimated 10% of women who suffer from this condition you may have serious problems when trying to conceive because of the odd hormonal imbalance in your body. This means PCOS and getting pregnant are not a good mix and even if you do become pregnant the chance of miscarriage is much higher than other women! The problem with PCOS is the increased levels of male hormones such as testosterone that defective ovaries produce. While all women have some testosterone it is only about one seventh of what a man has and the female body is not built to have so much of this hormone. This condition seriously affects a woman’s menstrual cycle as it interferes with the hormone signals that tell the various parts of the body when they need to release the egg and build up the womb to be ready for a possible baby. Women may suffer from irregular menstrual cycles that are too far apart or too close together or sometimes not at all! Picking the right time to become pregnant through all of this and a confused body is very hard and is risky for the baby as well. So how do you know if you have PCOS? Obviously if your menstrual cycle is irregular you may have PCOS but it also causes other problems such as weight gain, acne, facial hair and mood swings. You can only be sure if you check up with your health care professional but with PCOS being such a widespread condition with an estimated 10% of all women suffering from it to some extent this should be a cause for concern for many. So if you want a family and are worried about PCOS and getting pregnant you need to be sure you have the condition. IF you do suffer from PCOS then there is some good news, you have options. Recently though modern medicine has only harsh drugs and hormone injections, natural homeopathic treatments have become popular and successful with a great many women who have gone onto to give birth and overcome PCOS by adjusting their lifestyle so the body regulates its hormones better despite the condition.
